Heavy rainfall in the central part of U.S.

Heavy rainfall and flash flooding will be a threat today and tonight across portions of the central part of the U.S .

⛈️ The greatest risk stretches across north Texas, southeast Oklahoma, northwest Arkansas and southwest Missouri.
Heavy rain will also raise the flooding concern from North Texas into eastern Oklahoma, the Ozarks and the mid-Mississippi and lower Ohio valleys.
A broad part of this area could see at least an inch of rain through early next week, but locally heavier multi-inch totals are possible.

🌨 In the meantime, a significant winter storm will continue into Sunday across the northern Plains.
Heavy snow rates of 1-2″/hr will combine with strong and gusty winds to produce blizzard conditions across portions of the northern Plains.
Total snow accumulations may reach 2 feet.
Heavy snow and blizzard conditions will create dangerous travel and considerable impacts before the system winds down Sunday evening.
